Types of Indian visa

• Tourist visa is issued for up to 5 years. Allows you to stay in the country for no more than 90 days per visit. Not renewable in India.
• A transit visa is issued for 15 days. Allows you to enter the country 1-2 times in 15 days. Requires a ticket to the country of destination and back. Not renewable in India.
• Business visa is issued for a period of 1 to 5 years. Allows stay in the country for 6 months, after which exit or renewal in FRO is required. You can renew without leaving India. A letter of invitation from the company is required to confirm bona fide purposes. With a business visa, you can open an account in an Indian bank, as well as become an owner of a company, which will allow you not only to start a legal business in India, but also have the right to stay in India without leaving the country.
• A work visa is issued for 1 year or for the period of the contract. Allows you to stay in the country until the end of the visa. You can renew without leaving India. Documents of appointment from the employer are required.
• A student visa is issued for the period of study or for 5 years. Allows you to stay in the country until the end of the visa. You can renew without leaving India. Requires confirmation from Indian Institute.
